A nourishing conversation

A nourishing conversation

June 23, 2020
/ / /

Attention energizes.
Intention transforms.

These two sentences were the topic for the June monthly Zoom-call of the tankespjärn-community on Patreon inspired by these two posts:
Attention energizes. Intention transforms.
#blackouttuesday

Four people, 60 minutes (honestly, we ran for 70, my bad!).
Listening.
Learning.

A nourishing conversation, if ever, spanning the meaning of life to Covid-19, Black Lives Matter to the Law of Attraction (and the Law of Action), and the importance of knowing our attention as well as our intention when we decide what to focus on (based on the adage that we get more of what we focus on).

This Zoom-call definitely whet my appetite and I already look forward to doing a Zoom in July, on… well. Who knows!

Going for the shotgun approach

June 18, 2020
/ / /

I could chastise myself for not being a better community-creator over on Patreon, but what good would that do me? Or my community members, for that matter?

No good what-so-ever.

So, when inspiration struck, I seized the moment, sending out an invite for a Zoom call on attention and intention come Sunday morning.

And, like the other times I’ve sent out an invite to join me on Zoom in the tankespjärn-community, regardless if someone pops up, or not, I will be there. I will bring my attention to my community because that is my intention.

(And yes.
Of course, I would rather you joined!
You, who are already a member of the community.
You, who have thought about it but not checked it out for yourself. Yet.
You, who’ve perhaps heard me mention it, but never really checked it out.
You, who’ve never heard about it.

All of you.
Welcome to join.
It would make me thrilled.
And happy. Elated!

And yes.
Here I go again.
Going for the shotgun approach once more, sending it out, into the void, the digital chasm, where – perhaps. Probably. Even likely? – no one actually feels invited. Personally invited. Which you are, I am just on the edge of my comfort zone here.

So.
I will.
Send out invitations.
Personally. Truly personally.

And I will come to you as well.
And you, you, and you.

Charlotte. Matthew. Alison and Lena. Janine, Verenice, Marcus. Andrea.
Jim and Gary. David and Dave. Angelica. Kristina. Pernilla and Elenor.
All of you.
Because you are all important to me, and I would love for you to join me!

One step at a time, even the smallest of steps can take me around the world. If only… I take them, step after step. That’s what I am committed to.)

100 days later…

May 21, 2020
/ / /

A celebratory hour in lieu of 100 dailies in The Creative’s Workshop. An hour in honor of the letter S, in the form of:
Sensational (work, engagement, cohort!)
Shift (what has been the shift?)
Stranger (who was your unexpected stranger and what did they give you?)
Shipping (What have you shipped and what has it meant to you/those you serve?)
Step (Next step? How to continue doing your work?)
Salute (100 dailies later!)

What was it like for you 100 days ago?
Less energy. More lethargy. Ready to step into the land of ”don’t know what”.

What has changed in 100 days?
Me!
Energized. Awed and wowed!
A tankespjärn-community launched. Friendships forged.
INSIGHTS & CLARITY!

Who was your unexpected stranger and what did they give you?
Mary Ellen Bratu and our Reading Retreats, a gift I will carry with me for life!

What have you shipped and what has it meant to you (and those you serve)?
My tankespjärn-community on Patreon. Taking baby-steps.
I’ve truly seen the generosity inherent to shipping.

What’s the next step? How will you continue doing the work?
One day at a time, generously sharing and shipping.

Something that makes me go Huh…

May 6, 2020
/ / /

Why can’t I find it easily on your website? It’s not in your About-page, so I am not sure what tankespjärn is, and what it actually means?

The answer is easy: I haven’t gotten around to all of that. Yet. It is in the works and will be there. In a month? Two? Something like that. Definitely not longer, I definitely want to put tankespjärn front and center for anyone who comes looking.

As it is, you might google it and come across my small blurbs on it (#tankespjärn, for those who wish to discover. More. Other. New. Join!), or one of several blog posts where I’ve gotten into the concept in various ways. But as of right now, the one place where a definition of sorts is easily accessible is on the Patreon page where there’s a short video of me describing the concept if you scroll down to the About-section.

But in short:
Tankespjärn is an invitation to thinking and experiencing more, other, new, having you do a mental tumble, coming upon doors that open onto new vistas and universes. The invitation is to step through these doors, but, like with any invitation, you are free to say Yes or No.

My two blog posts on Help (Not wanting to ask for help, and The generous thing is asking for help) are examples of what might be tankespjärn for you, but then again, it might not, as each tankespjärn is an invitation, and not necessarily something for everyone. It might give rise to something to contemplate, to ask yourself questions you’ve never thought to ask, or perhaps take action where you normally don’t (or vice versa!). Or not. This might not speak to you at all, and if so, there’s probably something else that is the type of tankespjärn you need or look for at the moment.

Something that makes me go Huh… and then I am free to take the invitation and go deeper, or shut the opened door, saying, Nah, not interested. That is what tankespjärn is, for me.

Questions on tankespjärn?

April 25, 2020
/ / /

Do you have any questions on tankespjärn for me?
What it is? What it means? How I do it? Why I do it?
Anything else you would want to know?

I’d love to hear them, your questions, as I am doing a live in my tankespjärn-community and I don’t know if I will be doing it with any of my community-members, or alone. I just picked a time that was open in my calendar, and I haven’t got a clue if anyone else will be able to join me, let alone if they want to.

But hey.
They joined my community, so I presume they would want to join if they could!

So I figured, I can make this into a worthwhile exercise regardless because there’s so much on the topic of tankespjärn that I have yet to communicate, that just knowing I will be devoting myself to it for an hour this upcoming week, makes me happy! I greatly look forward to it. But any question you would like to gift me with would be of immense help for me!

But hey (again)!
Perhaps you would want to join me and the others in the community?
If so, check out my Patreon-site, join my community, and you are good to go. Hope to see you there!

Found online. Where. And why?

April 12, 2020
/ / /

Facebook. My personal profile. Stories. My page for #tankespjärn. Groups I am a part of?
Instagram. Stories.
Cross-posting?

Patreon.
LinkedIn.
Blog(s).

So many places. So much opportunity.
My presence there, who is it for? For me? For you?
If the answer to the first is No, then I sincerely doubt the answer to the latter question could be Yes.
I have to be there. In spirit. In person. With me. Open. Honest. Wholehearted.

That’s why I don’t do Twitter anymore.
Or, more to the point, I left without closing my account, and now the only thing Twitter does is cross-post the URL of my blog posts. (Had to check, only the Swedish ones.) With just shy of 4000 followers, somehow it irked me to close the account… but now? I might as well, honestly. Because I am so not there. Not in spirit. Not in person.

I haven’t given LinkedIn a proper chance. Not yet. Should I? Should I refrain? And don’t even get me started on the fact that I could (should?) set up an English profile there, besides the Swedish one, a feature I know they rolled out a while back…
And Instagram. No. Not really gone for it properly there either. Same questions apply.

My intention for the past ten years has been to make a positive imprint. So I do my best to curate what I share, how I share, how I show up, what I respond to and how, what my tone is. And yes. That’s a big part of my decision to break up with Twitter. But the question is, given where I am right now, what do I share, when and where?

…to be continued.

But I am curious.
Where are you to be found online? Truly, you, your presence? And why? Why have you set up your chosen online-presence the way it is?

Twisting and turning.

April 1, 2020
/ / /

It’s a little bit funny (I hum) that sometimes clarity comes when someone else explains your offering (whatever it might be), using their own words, and it just all falls into place. That’s what happened when Katarina Felicia Lundgren, in her words, described what the #tankespjärn-community on Patreon is, can and will be:

My friend Helena Roth has now opened her page #tankespjärn at Patreon –come and join her community– you will be part of a wonderfully deep conversation on how to grow, explore, find –what you need to find, grow and explore while Helena shares how she works with her tool –tankespjärn– that lets your thoughts and ideas receive a special mix of support, resistance, questioning, feedback – and cheering on!

If you are into co-creations and out of the box-ideas and realizations – this is a good space to be in. Join to find out more about tankespjärn!

I have yet to get really clear on how to succinctly describe the concept, the tool, so getting a blurb like this one from a word-smithy of rang such as Katarina, definitely helps me get clearer on what it is, and how I can describe it to others. Because the word itself isn’t much help, especially not for non-Swedish speakers, but even for them, it’s not a given.

And what I really like about this, is that even this part of the process is tankespjärn. The way I twist and turn words and my understanding of the concept in order to get at something that might –or might not– be communicable, with a driving force of curiosity (What will I learn? Who will react how to what types of descriptive phrases?) and playful experimentation (What if I do it this way, or that way?).

If it’s not apparent, I assure you, I am having great fun with all of this!

As something that Is.

March 29, 2020
/ / /

Wrote this long post on moving my body more since I seem to be glued to my computer these days, only to realize that ain’t it for today’s post.

You see… I just finished setting up my Patreon #tankespjärn community page.
I will press the Launch -button tomorrow.
The site is crude with plenty of room for improvement, but I will launch.
And I will tweak! I promise. There’s plenty to do – both on the community-site, and concerning other websites etc… But I do not want to be stuck polishing my phone, before I put this out there. I mean, hey, perhaps the phone needs to be polished a lot less than I imagine it has to.

So I want to get it out there, to start to play and experiment, and no longer talk about this community as if it’s something that is to happen.
But rather.
As something that Is.

Ever since I was born

March 25, 2020
/ / /

That cliffhanger.

Time to latch on: I want to do something other than what I’ve been doing for the past 5-7 years when it comes to my creative side, in how (and why?) I share my voice. I have my two blogs, the one in Swedish and this one in English, and even though I write more or less daily on either one of them, I want something to shift. I want to create a space for a community of sorts, a community of people willing to generously participate in receiving and giving #tankespjärn

There’s plenty of free material/content on my blogs, my pod, on Instagram etc. But I want to give more. Material which dives deeper and invites you to both give and receive #tankespjärn. But also to take part in deeper conversations, around Being and Becoming, on what #tankespjärn might mean for you in living your life, on learning to actively seek the event horizons of life.

I have a Patreon-site in mind and have something of value to offer. I know there’s value to be had. And at the same time, that nagging little shaming voice within tells me to stop immediately, there’s no way anyone would subscribe to this, you haven’t thought it through enough, you need to wait, and prepare much more for it, and plan for how to do what when, and….

But hey.

I have prepared for it. Ever since I was born, I have prepared for this. In 1999 when I was left by my then-husband while being 9 months pregnant, I started the journey for real, but way before that, I started preparing for this.

I know my stuff.
I have a fair inkling of what I don’t know as well, which is why I want the community.
I want the opportunity to learn and grow, to evolve and expand, in relationship with others.

And if I don’t Do, there’s no way of knowing if it will work, is there?
